Lost River Publishing LLC is an independent publisher based in Pocatello, Idaho. Founded in 2022, it is the publishing home of author Ryan Byers.

About Ryan

Ryan is an Idaho-based mountaineer, hiker, author, and outdoor enthusiast. His work grew out of a love for Idaho’s rugged peaks and local trails, and a desire to make good route information easier to find.

His first book, Idaho Twelvers, brings together route descriptions, maps, photographs, and practical advice for Idaho’s nine peaks over 12,000 feet. Pocatello Trail Guide brings that same approach closer to home, with hiking, biking, trail running, and cross-country skiing routes around Pocatello and Southeast Idaho.

A third book is on the way. More about that when the time is right.
